In the beginning of my two selves series it was a photo sequence illustrating a chase between myself in black and myself in white. Myself in white represented my past self and emotions while dealing with depression while myself in black is my current self. The series concluded with a photograph that could be seen as my current self accepting those past emotions and trying to live with them. I have since continued to play with the idea of two selves interacting with each other in a space with the figure in white either representing my past self or higher self. That has slowly evolved to video. With Where I Wanna Be it's still my two selves interacting but in real time and at this point I am more accepting of the different facets of my being. I chose to sing SeeWhatWeSeas mainly because of the lyrics, " I've got you and me, that's a family" and because the song to me feels like it is about a family coming together to spend time peacefully enjoying travel and the sea. Family. That's how I currently view the figure in white and the different parts of myself. They come together like a family, and all I could ever hope for is for that family to be at peace in the world. But that's not always the case...
